I'm usually super chill about dub rewrites (see: praise of Baccano!, Yamada's First Time, etc.), but given that SO MUCH of Escaflowne is about people reacting to valid feelings in unhealthy/toxic ways, to cut that here feels like a genuine disservice to the characters & story :/
